ECFE/School Readiness

In-school or School Readiness programs are administered by the Minnesota Department of Education. These programs are provided through public schools, including charter schools, and provide early childhood education with a goal of preparing children for kindergarten.

Bemidji's Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) program and School Readiness Preschool (SR) are for all families in the Bemidji School District who have preschool age children. We recognize that parents are a child's first and most important teachers -- and that sometimes parents need support and encouragement for this responsibility! ECFE/SR offers a variety of classes for you and your child: infants to pre-kindergarten. ECFE/SR also offers free Early Childhood Screening and Special Events for families.
